Description
Made in the USA, the Goldens’ Cast Iron Searing Plate is produced at our foundry and machine shops in Columbus and Cordele, Georgia. For optimal performance, season the plate with peanut or canola oil at 350 degrees for one hour before your first cook. Maintain the searing plate by using a wood scraper and applying cooking spray or canola oil after each use to protect it from the elements.
Maintenance Tips:
- Seasoning: Coat with oil and heat at 350 degrees for one hour.
- Post-Cooking: Use a wood scraper, never metal, to clean. Apply cooking spray or oil before cooling.
- Cooker Maintenance: Keep the top vent closed and cover the cooker when not in use. Store accessories indoors.
- Ash Removal: Use a shop vac to clear ashes from the firebox and vents.
